When adopting the minutes of the traffic committee meeting held on April 20, councillor Larry Whipper argued more discussion was needed about where event signage was placed.
His concerns arose from plans to place a Variable Message Board on Belmore Falls Road at Robertson to warn drivers about an upcoming event at Wallaby Hill Farm.
“A Variable Message Board could be quite a hazard in relation to where that’s placed. I think we need more discussion,” he said.
Chairman of the traffic committee Ian Scandrett said the final location of the sign had yet to be determined but would be done in conjunction with police and engineering staff.
The matter has been referred back to the traffic committee for further discussion.
