Community radio station Highlands FM 107.1 has just passed its 30th year of service in the community, and volunteers have invited the community to come and celebrate.
Chairman Peter Short gave his congratulations to the team.
“Congratulations to all who have stepped forward to keep the station going over the 30 years including local business, community organisations and especially long-serving members and presenters who are still working with the station,” he said.
“Our station, and more than 300 community stations across Australia, perform a vital service of information and music that is not provided by other communication outlets.”
The celebration will be held at the station’s new studio on April 22 from 5.00pm to 8.00pm. The studio is located in the Bowral Mall, corner of Boolwey and Station Streets, Bowral.
