Boronia Street in Bowral and Holly Road and Sunninghill Avenue in Burradoo were the target of several break-ins over the Easter long weekend.
After a similar set of break-ins over the Christmas period, police have urged Highlanders to be vigilant with their home security.
Bowral Police Inspector John Klepczarek said residents should keep an eye out for suspicious activity.
“We’re not ruling out that these break-ins could be linked,” he said. “It’s a concern for police because these types of offences don’t occur in the region and to have so many in a few days is unusual.”
He encouraged the “good old-fashioned neighbourhood watch” approach and said if people were heading away over the Anzac Day holiday period, to ask a neighbour to keep an eye out.
“It appears these thieves are targeting holiday periods when people may be away.”
“Ask someone close by to keep an eye on your property, look out for one another and if you see something suspicious, contact police,” Inspector Klepczarek said.
