As part of the school’s 125 year birthday celebrations in 2016, the P and C association offered Highlanders the chance to purchase their very own customised engraved brick pavers.
While the anniversary celebrations are over, there is still an opportunity to purchase a paver.
There are two options for pavers- one is a text version and there is also the option of a hand drawn one.
P and C association president Anne Mackay said she hoped to get at least 100 pavers, which would mean free postage.
She said the association was not yet sure where the pavers would go in the school but a path or the pavers lining the garden had been suggested.
All profits from the pavers will got back to the Exeter P and C association to help with the school’s wish list.
“It’s a modest profit that we’re getting but it’s worth us doing it,” Ms Mackay said.
She said the school was working on a project to build a multi-purpose room, separate from the existing classrooms.
There are also several smaller items on the school’s wish list.
Ms Mackay said these included computers, library resources, teaching resources, some infrastructure, some playground table and seating, upgrading the sandpit and maintaining the playground.
Pavers start at $35 for a single paver and go up to four pavers for $120.
Orders will close on April 7 and Ms Mackay said she expected the pavers to arrive at the school during Term 2.
The pavers will also be on sale at the Bundanoon markets on April 2.
Exeter P and C will have a stall at the markets where the Our Village Table cookbook will be on sale.
The cookbook was also launched during the school’s 125 year celebrations and is filled with recipes from community members in Exeter and throughout the Highlands.
