For the first time, a photography competition will be a part of the Bundanoon Highland Gathering in 2017.
Bundanoon Photography Group, in partnership with Brigadoon will run the Images of the Southern Highlands competition.
The competition will be a chance for all amateur photographers to enter their best shot taken in the Southern Highlands.
Meg Nurse from the Bundanoon photography group said they were looking for original photographs that showcased the diversity of the region.
Photos can include images such as a local event,characters, history, heritage, parks or landscapes.
Entries will close on January 31.
The 50 finalists will have their work printed, mounted and hung in the Wingecarribee Shire Council foyer.
It will cost $15 for each entry.
There are cash prizes for the youth and adult winners.

Brigadoon will be held on April 1 in 2017.
This year the Highlands will celebrate the 40th Brigadoon event.
