Lizzie Millar made a brief appearance before a registrar at Port Kembla Local Court on Wednesday morning.
Her lawyer told the court Millar would plead not guilty to all charges.
Millar, 51, of Primbee, faces three charges of dishonestly obtain financial advantage by deception and a charge of dishonestly obtain property by deception.
The charges relate to her position as general manager of the food barn, also known as Illawarra Food Hub.
The Warrawong charity operates programs and services for people living below the poverty line, including a cut-price supermarket.
The matter returns to court March 8, when a hearing date is expected to be set.
