Grace has been selected to represent Australia at the Acrobatic Gymnastics World Championships - two years after missing national selection.
Grace, 18, will board a plane this Friday and head to Putian, China, for the competition.
The Moss Vale teenager will join the Australian camp before the championship starts on March 21 and concludes on April 5.
The championship is set to attract some of the world’s best acrobats and gymnasts.
Grace was one of close to 50 athletes from across Australia to be selected for the competition.
The formats for the gymnastics aspect of the championships are competing in pairs or trios.
Grace will represent her nation in a pairs event, teaming up with fellow young gymnast Jessica Adams.
Grace is a member of the Oak Flats/Albion Park/Kiama Gymnastics and Acrobatics Club.
Two years ago, Grace went through trials and training for the world championships before missing out on selection.
Grace said she was keen to make an impression at this year’s event.
“Our coach put forward three groups and I missed out, so it makes my selection sweeter,” she said.
“I hope to make the finals at the competition, which is the top eight.
“I really look forward to it.”
Grace finished her school studies at Chevalier College in 2015 and has taken a gap year to focus on gymnastics.
She took up the sport 14 years ago with the Moss Vale Gymnastics Club.
Moss Vale Gymnastics owner/manager Kim Morse-Evans started training Grace at a tender age.
Close to four years ago, Ms Morse-Evans introduced Grace to the Oak Flats/Albion Park/Kiama club.
Ms Morse-Evans said Grace needed to move to enhance her opportunities in gymnastics.
She said the teenager had gone from strength to strength since moving clubs.
“Our club is very proud, she has done really well,” she said.
“Grace will be up against the best of the best, particularly in China, where acrobatics is at a very high level.
“But Grace has worked very hard, put in the long hours and she is very fit.”
