The Safer Drivers Course aims to provide learner drivers with driving strategies such as speed management, gap selection, hazard awareness and safe following distances.
The course also aims to help learners identify situations that could put them at risk of being in a crash and assist them to develop strategies to avoid these situations.
Red Car Driver Training Owner Julie Dryer said Highlands Drive Safe was an absolute pleasure to work with. "They share the same ethos as us and our other partners being totally committed to the promotion of safe driving behaviours to young drivers," she said.
"Red Car is one of the smaller providers in NSW but has delivered the course to almost 1500 young learners in the Southern Highlands and Shoalhaven since the courses launch two and a half years ago".
The RMS Safer Drivers Course entitles learners to a 20 hour credit in their log book on completion of the course.
The cost of the course is $140 and can be completed in one weekend.
Participants must have completed a minimum of 50 actual hours prior to starting the course, hold a valid NSW Learner licence and be under 25.
