BURRADOO horse Colour of Money won the 2015 Bong Bong Cup on Friday.
Colour of Money took first place in the major race at the Bong Bong Picnic Races.
The four-year-old gelding, trained by James Cummings and ridden by Ricky Blewitt, won the Macarathur Square Fashions Bong Bong Cup over 1560 metres.
The Garry Frazer-trained Scottish Border finished second and Vodnik, trained by Jeremy Sylvester, took third place.
Colour of Money was born and bred at the Think Big Stud in Burradoo.
Think Big Stud's Kerry and Sharon Wisnewski said they were elated to take home the cup on Friday.
"We are stoked, it's a homebrand win," Kerry said.
"He ran well and it was a great ride by Ricky [Blewitt]."
Friday's Bong Bong Picnic Races was held in hot and windy conditions.
However, Kerry said the heat was "not really a factor" for Colour of Money.
"He is born and bred here, so he is used to it being muggy," he said.
Colour of Money's victory also marked trainer James Cummings' first win at the Bong Bong event.
James is the grandson of late Australian horse racing icon Bart Cummings.
James's foreman Nacim Dilmi said it was a great win by Colour of Money.
"He was the best horse, but you can never underestimate the local horses," Dilmi said.
"He ran really well."
