Originally booked for the Wednesday evening Supper Club, Mr Glover stayed for a second session in response to demand for tickets.
Touting his memoir Flesh Wounds, Mr Glover gave insights to some of its tales about the eccentricities and difficulties of his childhood.
The book is built on his dinner party game, 'Who's got the weirdest parents?', for which many tales saw nods of recognition and agreement.
Nevertheless, moderator Lucy Palmer also drew forth much tenderness in Mr Glover's telling of his extraordinary parental experiences.
He also praised and defended the modern phenomenon of "helicopter parenting", saying it was merely a parent's sincere interest in their child.
Bookshop Bowral arranged Mr Glover's events and both were hosted at the Centennial Vineyards restaurant.
