Joe and Jen Aoun own B Tempted Hair and Beauty in the Mittagong Marketplace, one of 100 salons Australia-wide that is participating in the Dob in a Mum project.
The couple has put a call out for the community to nominate a deserving mum for a makeover in the lead up to Mother's Day.
"There are a lot of mums out there who can't afford such an expensive makeover," Mr Aoun said.
"We've been here almost nine years and the clients and community have been good to us, so we wanted to give something back."
The makeover will take place on Saturday, May 2 with beautician Sarah Tait and hairdresser Michelle Reynolds.
Salon manager Jodie Clark said the makeover is valued at whatever the lucky mum chose.
The mum will be chosen by the team at B Tempted Hair and Beauty based on the heartfelt stories with the submissions.
Before and after photos of the lucky mum will then put B Tempted Hair and Beauty Mittagong in the running to win best makeover Australia wide.
"The salon that does the best makeover in Australia will have Jak Vaesser from Videl Sassoon come into the salon for the day," Ms Clark said.
To dob in your mum send a brief description, 25 words or less, about why she deserves a makeover to hair@btempted. com.au or private message the B Tempted Hair and Beauty Facebook page.
