And this year was no exception as hundreds of grandparents turned up for the special occasion.
The day started with a liturgy to celebrate the special relationship children have with their grandparents or a special adult in their lives.
St Michael's parents were on hand to serve grandparents home baked cakes and slices for morning tea.
The most anticipated part of the day was the concert, which showcased the children's many talents, with each class performing an item of singing, dancing or music.
Grandparents were then shown around the children's classrooms to have a look at their work.
The day concluded with lunch, made and served by St Michael's parents.
