Council's ageing and disability officer, Eliza Hazlett urged participants to join the celebrations and to get in and book early.
Events planned for this year's celebrations include music concerts, computer workshops, film screenings and dances.
"In total we've got almost 30 events planned for the week-long celebrations," Ms Hazlett said.
"We've definitely got something to suit everyone."
Events kick-off on Sunday, March 15 with an afternoon of Big Band classics at the Moss Vale Services Club and the celebrations will end on Monday, March 23 with a French themed morning tea at Hill Top.
"Some of the excursions such as our Mystery Bus tour are extremely popular," Ms Hazlett said.
"We definitely recommend that anyone thinking of joining us, check out the program beforehand, and start to book from next Monday to secure their place. New for this year is the option of online bookings through council's website.
"We know more and more older people are confident computer users and this will allow them to browse events at their leisure and at a time that is convenient for them."
Phone bookings will still be available.
Chair of council's seniors committee, Councillor Ian Scandrett said this year's program was designed to cater for all interests and abilities.
"Recognising and celebrating our Shire's largest demographic audience is vitally important and council staff have done a fabulous job putting together another great line-up of activities for this year's celebrations," Cr Scandrett said.
"The message really is to get in early to avoid disappointment."
