Authorization 349 will have its opening tonight at BDAS gallery.
Greg Sorenson and Yasmin Idriss's exhibition showcases photos that document a moment in time.
Sub-titled 'A community fighting to save its water supply,' the ANU School of Art students' exhibition aims to demonstrate the effects of industrialisation in the Southern Highlands, "one of Australia's most productive and beautiful food growing areas."
Greg said the photographic project had been undertaken over the past six months and would be on show until early March.
"The work follows six months of covering the Southern Highlands Coal Action Group and their campaign against the proposed Hume Coal mine," Greg said.
"The images reflect the people behind the campaign, and also the landscape and water resources they feel are under threat."
"The exhibition runs from February 28 until March 8, coinciding with SHCAG's rally in nearby Corbett Gardens on March 7."
All members of the Southern Highlands community are welcome to attend the opening night of this thought-provoking exhibit from 6pm at BDAS Gallery, 1 Short Street, Bowral.
