The people of NSW will go to the polls on March 28 to vote for the 56th parliament.
The electoral district boundaries were redistributed after the 2011 election with significant changes to the Southern Highlands.
Formerly, the shire was largely in the seat of Goulburn, which is held by Liberal MP Pru Goward. However, for the 2015 election Bowral, Mittagong, Colo Vale, Willow Vale, Hill Top and Yerrinbool will be part of the seat of Wollondilly, which is currently held by first-term Liberal MP Jai Rowell.
Moss Vale, Berrima, Bundanoon, Exeter and Wingello will remain in Goulburn. The Goulburn boundary will now also extend to Burrawang, Kangaloon and Robertson, which is currently part of the seat of Kiama under Liberal MP Gareth Ward.
State electoral boundaries are reviewed after every second election to keep voter numbers within 10 per cent of each other from seat to seat between the 93 electorates in NSW.
