Council's annual in-house staff awards were held this month and a council spokesman said it was a chance to recognise and celebrate the dedicated staff who had gone above and beyond.
There were five categories including Indoor Employee of the Year, Outdoor Employee of the Year, Exceptional Initiative or Leadership Award, Outstanding Customer Service Individual Award and Outstanding Customer Service Team Award.
This year Christine Staubner received the Outstanding Customer Service Award, Stace Lewer received the Exceptional Initiative or Leadership Award (Indoor) and Greg Bray (outdoor). The Outstanding Customer Service Team Award was given to the Water Treatment - Energy Cost Reduction Project Team which included Therese Smart, Jon Hook, Noel Bromfield, Col Sheedy, Max Furphy, Gary Cox and David Henderson.
"The team focused on the Wingecarribee water treatment electricity costs and the link to treatment patterns," the council spokesman said.
"Together they recognised the opportunity they had in saving the organisation big dollars and sought about implementing a program to enact their ideas."
Indoor Employee of the Year went to Ian Perkins and Outdoor Employee of the Year was awarded to Paul Knock.
Staff members were nominated by their peers.
