GRADUATING high school students stuck close to their phone or computer for the past two days anxiously waiting for their Higher School Certificate (HSC) marks and Australian Tertiary Admission Ranks (ATAR) to be released by the Board of Studies.

Oxley College was celebrating a successful year yesterday with the most students of any Highlands' school earning a score of more than 90 in a HSC subject.
The school had 29 students listed in the Board of Studies Honour Roll, with 15 gaining an ATAR of 90 or more.
"It's very strong compared to years gone by," Oxley College deputy head of academics Steven Armstrong said.
Chevalier College students had 28 mentions on the Honour Roll, Frensham 26, Bowral High School 10, Moss Vale High School 6, St Paul's International College three and the Southern Highlands Christian School had four.
Lauren Wright and Madeleine Streater, from Chevalier College, along with Katherine Porter and Olivia Leicester, from Frensham School, were named on the Board of Studies All-round Achievers List for receiving band six results in 10 or more units of study.
Six students from Highlands schools also earned top 20 places in their subjects.
Mary Benn, from Bowral, placed 5th in the Entertainment Industry Examination, while Chevalier College had Eloise Cotchett place 16th in Standard English, Kate Minnis 9th in Hospitality Examination, Billy Rofe 7th in Industrial Technology, Sam Roberts 4th in Physics and Rebecca Lawrence second in Studies of Religion I.
The University Admissions Centre will release offers of placement next month. The early January round becomes available on Wednesday, January 5, at 9am, while the main round offers will be announced on Wednesday, January 19, at 9pm.
Two more rounds of offers will occur on February 2 and 9.
