Guaranteed top quality raw fleece will be offered for sale by members of the South Coast and Southern Tablelands Branch of the Black and Coloured Sheep Breeders Association of NSW (Inc).
A comprehensive range of spinning and weaving supplies will be available.
Wendy Dennis of Kangaroo Valley Spinning Supplies will have her wares for sale and for the first time wool grown locally at Burrawang by Fred and Katherine Wood, and processed in Geelong will be offered for sale as 8ply and 10ply knitting yarn.
This magnificent dark brown yarn has not required any of the usual chemical treatment during processing so retains all wools natural softness and ability to insulate against cold.
Look for this and Katherines famous "Coffee Cosys" being marketed under the Burrawool name.
Bob and Denise Munday will once again be in attendance with their Munrola Fibres business, which will include a large supply of Crookwell Socks that so many of you missed at the Robertson Show.
This year to celebrate the 20th Woolcraft Festival the BCSBA members are delighted to offer two fashion parades.
The first by the Berry Spinners and Weavers at 11:30am and the second by the Canberra Felters at 1pm.
The Canberra Felters are bringing their amazing Felted Yert which measures 3m by 3m and will be erected in the hall.
These parades combined with a demonstration of drop spindle spinning which has been researched and will be practised by Joan Morrell, and a re-run of our Short Sharp and Funny Knitting Competition should make a great day.
The parents of the Robertson Scout Troop will provide us with delicious refreshments throughout the day ably assisted by their young ones.
The doors will open at 10:30 and all events will be completed by about 2pm. This event is free, and all are welcome.
