Bowral took advantage of playing the opening match of the pennant season at home when they entertained Austral.
They won by two rinks to one.
Bowral picked up nine points and Austral picking up one point.

The star of the show was the two Micks who completely devastated Austral by drawing shots or converting shots.
It was a class act of bowls and it showed why these two bowlers had won so many championships and matches in NSW.
Bowral held a 14-5 lead after 11 ends, then Austral started to get into the match and after 16 ends they only trailed by 16-11.
With five ends to play, this is where the experience of Spong and Armstrong shone and Bowral finished with a nine shot win.
Terry Butt, Carl Spilker, Garry Brown mick Anderson defeated Austral 23-17.
Bowral was pleased with their start going to a 8-4 lead after 11 ends.
The match slightly changed but Bowral still had the lead 10-8 after eleven ends.
With a short burst of good play Austral drew level on the 14th end 12-12.
Bowral regained the lead 16-12 on the 16th end.
Once again Austral hit back but were still behind 19-17 after 19 ends.
Bowral dug deep on the last two ends to come away six shot winners.
Andy Connor, Alistair McGhee, Stephen Della and Dugald Braithwaite lost to Austral 18-16.
Austral got going early and held a 10-4 lead after six ends.
Bowral then had a good patch of play and pegged Austral back to be on level terms after 11 ends at 11-11.
With great all round play, Bowral took the lead 15-14 after 18 ends.
The last three ends was anyone's game with Austral just pulling away to a two shot win.
Bowral travelled to picton for a Division 4 clash to open the pennant season and what a finish it was.
Picton won two rinks and Bowral one rink but the score board ended up all square at 61 all. Picton scored 5.5 points to Bowral's 4.5 points.
Peter Cornwell, Mick Flynn, Tony Oakes, Dave Coltman defeated Picton 24-17.
The development of this side only got stronger as the match went along and Picton realised they had a match on their hands at the finish.
Bowral came away with a seven shot win.
Arnold Lenczuk, Graham Hunt, Glen Giese and Bob Crowley lost to Picton 25-19.
There was a lot of good shots played in this match with Picton being able to build the head a bit better than Bowral.
Ted McPhee, Richard Denman, Terry Norwood and Robin Staples lost to Picton 19-18.
This match brought the best out of all players.
With both teams locked at 18-18 at the last end, McPhee and Denmam played two cracking bowls to sit on the jack and put doubts in the Picton players mind on what shot to play.
With his last bowl, the Picton skipper hit the jack to give the home side victory by one shot.
After the big loss to Picton in last week's trials, this was a mighty effort by Bowral.
Next weeks fixtures will see Bowral travel to Penrith for a Division 1 clash while Division 4 will play Bundanoon at Bowral.
