The elite seniors, under the leadership of smooth talking team Captain Peter Tancred took out the eight game match with an emphatic 8-nil result.
Tancred, buoyed by the great result, felt the opposition were not at their best and the Moss Vale team brought their A-game on the day.
Adding to his comment, Tancred was aware that there would some tough rounds ahead against some of the Illawarra's largest and strongest clubs.
The club competition highlight of the week was Club Champion Brendon Dodds' 69 off the stick in Saturday's Monthly Medal.
Dodds, a natural talent, showed all his skill and ability to tame the cold and gusty conditions.
He has been offered a spot in the Illawarra team to play in a state tournament at Yowani Country Club in the coming weeks. Well done Brendon.
