Lunchtime concert with Annie Ma
An afternoon of symphonies
Award-winning artist Annie Ma will delight attendees with piano music from Spain and compositions by Johannes Brahms. It is part of the St. Jude's Music Associations initiative to showcase emerging artists. Watch Annie on Wednesday, August 3 at 1.15pm at the St. Jude's Church in Bowral. People can enter with a donation.
Winter Members Exhibition
Lots to discover
This exhibition showcases a diverse range of art from the dedicated Bowral District Art Society members, there is something for everyone. All of the works showcase a variety of techniques and mediums. See them all for yourself from Wednesday, August 3 until Tuesday, August 9 at the Bowral Art Gallery. There will be an opening on Saturday, August 6 at 4pm. The gallery is open from 10am to 4pm daily.
Viva La Truffle - Meet the farmer
Taste some black diamonds
Discover how truffles grow and indulge in a five-course degustation meal featuring the delicacy. Attendees can walk through a truffle farm, and TV chef Fast Ed will whip up the meals, with a Pinot to match. You can have all things truffle on Friday, August 5 at 151 McEvilly Road, Robertson, for an 11.30am and 12pm session. Tickets are $180 each and can be purchased via Trybooking.
Brigadoon Celebration
This weekend
Although the festival was cancelled this year, there will still be a Scottish celebration in Bundanoon! Expect live music, pipe bands, Scottish poetry readings, dancing, stalls, fiddlers, games and so much more! Make sure you head to the Bundanoon Hotel from 12pm on Saturday, August 6 to check it all out.
Exeter Village Market and Dogs Day Out
This weekend
Do you have a pooch that you think can win a prize? The Exeter Village Market is holding the Dogs Day Out! The Woof Shed is coming along to judge the competition, and you can register your dog at 10am before it kicks off at 11am. Dogs must be on a lead. While you are there, you can walk through Exeter Park on Saturday, August 6 to discover more than 60 stalls in this unique market. The market runs from 9am to 1.30pm.
Harper's Mansion Open Days
This weekend
Come and explore the gardens, or have a picnic at this historical mansion in Berrima. Attendees are advised to secure a ticket for a timed entry in advance. The property is open on Saturday, August 6, and Sunday, August 7. A booking for two adults and two children is $26.99, adults can enter for $11.39 each and it is $9.31 for children over five. Children under five can enter for free. Tickets can be purchased via Eventbrite.
Spring Collection with Ken Done and Rosie Deacon

Australia artists Ken Done and Rosie Deacon are uniting to create this vibrant and interactive exhibition. You can see different paintings and installations and get involved in some dances and crafts. It opens on Saturday, August 6 from 4pm. The gallery is open from 10am to 4pm daily.
Bundanoon Makers Market
This weekend
This market is full of activities and stalls for everyone. Find crafts, antiques, delicious food and more. Head over to Bundanoon Public School on Sunday, August 7 from 8.30pm to 2pm.
Beethoven's Eroica - Australian Haydn Ensemble
This weekend
The Australian Haydn Ensemble will bring symphonies by Beethoven, Mozart and Wranitzky to life. You can watch the renditions on Sunday, August 7 at 4pm at the Burrawang School of Arts. Tickets are $70 for people over 30, $60 for concessions and $40 for people under 30. They can be booked on australianhaydn.com.au.
Can Assist Southern Highland Botanical Art and Illustration Prize
Lots to see
The talents of botanical artists are on display in this unique exhibition which celebrates the changes in seasons. The prize is a new partnership between the charity Can Assist Southern Highlands (CASH), and the Botanical Art Society of Australia (BASA). It can be viewed in the White Cottage gallery in Retford Park until Sunday, August 14 and is open from 10am to 4pm. It is a free event but any donations made upon entry will go directly to Can Assist.
