Bundanoon Winterfest school holiday activities
- Hands on fun
Bundanoon Winterfest has a range of activities designed especially for kids. Learn how to care for wombats with the lovely local Wombat expert, John. Get your hands dirty with the fun and messy pizza making, 3D painting, plant growing and felting workshops. And for the active ones we've got croquet lessons and move and groove. Mother and Son
- Based on the hit ABC tv series
Highlands Theatre Group presents Mother & Son theatre production based on the TV hit series, with matinee & evening shows at Moss Vale Services Club. Newly divorced Arthur Beare moves back home to care for his aging mother Maggie. The show will run from July 8 to July 17. For more information and tickets, visit www.htg.org.au.
Create your own plush monsters
- School holiday fun
Join artist Lily Cummins to create an imaginative, fantastical plush monster at Ngununggula, Southern Highlands Regional Gallery. Participants will use felt, thread and stuffing to create a squishy, squashy imaginative creature. Students will develop their skills and understanding of shape and colour as well as their fine motor skills as they thread and sew their construction using basic stitching techniques. Winterfest Bonfire
- Biggest bonfire in town
A fun family friendly event, the Winterfest Bonfire is how the community says goodbye to the festival for another year. Hosted by Bundanoon Rebels Football Club on July 9 at Ferndale Reserve, come along to enjoy hearty winter food, music, entertainment and of course, the biggest and bonfire in town! The evening will kick off at 5 pm and finish at 9 pm. Entry by donation.
Moss Vale Showground Christmas in July Market
- Christmas in July
Set in the grounds of the Iconic Moss Vale Showground, the Christmas in July market will feature many local artisans with handmade craft, jams, relishes, soaps, candles, giftware's and art. Live music will play throughout the day and some markets will also have rides and great fun activities for kids with the miniature train rides running throughout the day. The market will run from 9am to 3pm on July 10. The Moss Vale Rotary have joined our market and are raising much needed funds via gold coin donation at the main gate and will also be operating their canteen on each market day.
- Weekly markets
The On the Grow Railway Street Farmers Market provides a place to do your weekly shopping for healthy, fresh food produced in a sustainable way. No middle-men or wholesalers. The person you buy from either grew, harvested or produced the items offered for sale, providing a market focus on local, seasonal produce. The markets will open at 3 pm close at 5.30pm and are located at the corner of Railway Street and Spring Street.
