CoreLogic research analyst Caytlin Ezzy released the Million Dollar Markets report, that details which suburbs across the country have median house and unit prices that exceed $1 million.
The data shows which suburbs are "newcomers" with figures from May this year, compared to May, 2021.
The Southern Highlands and Shoalhaven were grouped together in the report.
Bundanoon, Braemar, Mittagong and Moss Vale made the list and had median house values surpass $1 million since May 2021.
Ms Ezzy said there were different factors that influenced these additions to the "million-dollar list", such as the "surge in values over the COVID period".
"A lot of Southern Highlands' newer residents have likely been attracted by not only the regions country charm, but its relaxed lifestyle, larger block sizes, and the ability to commute into the city for those with remote or hybrid working arrangements," she said.
Bundanoon recorded the highest median value out of the four areas, with an increase from $973,545 in May, 2021, to $1,318,019 a year later.

The price to live in Moss Vale rose by more than $280,000 from $868,990 in 2021, to $1,151,771.
Mittagong rounded off the list with a median value $1,121,070 compared to $901,608.
These were not the only findings in the Highlands - another village was in the top five suburbs with the highest median house values in regional NSW.
