The landmark memorandum of understanding between the three community foundations and the two schools would guarantee funding of Raise's best practice mentoring program for the next three years.
The 4K Foundation, The Southern Highland Foundation and The Bowral District's Children's Foundation each committing $20,000 to secure Raise mentoring for local students.
Raise Foundation program counsellor Kelly Bayliss said the program included 15 mentors across both schools.
"It's for students who need a bit of extra support," she said.
"It's a one-on-one interaction, and they help form a connection.
"It's all private. Having a mentor help you navigate life and can show the students why education is worth it."
Partnership manager for Raise Foundation Fieke Princee said the program ran for 23 weeks, between term two and term four.
"The program runs for one hour," she said.
"The mentors then have a one hour post briefing to discuss what's happened and how they can help.
"It's amazing to facilitate this. It takes a village to raise a child.
"We're so pleased that this will run for three years, it's a long term investment."
Southern Highlands Foundation chairperson Shelley Boyce OAM said it was a wonderful opportunity for the youth of the Southern Highlands.
"We can all work better together for the community," she said.
In 2021 Raise ran successful mentoring programs at Moss Vale and Bowral High schools with the funding support of the Southern Highlands Foundation.
This unprecedented collaboration represents long term investment back into the local youth and demonstrates how essential supporting youth mental health is to the Southern Highlands community.
