The Wynne Prize, which focuses on depictions of Australian landscapes across different mediums, has been awarded to visual artists since 1897.
Ngununggula is one of 12 galleries that have been chosen to showcase the prize, which has only been exhibited in Sydney, between 2023 and 2025.
"We are thrilled to be part of the forthcoming tour of the Wynne Prize," said Ngununggula director Megan Monte.
"Tours are an important part of our program of exhibitions, offering opportunities to partner with significant institutions and access a range of contemporary Australian artists."
Deputy Premier Paul Toole and Arts Minister Ben Franklin announced the funding of $762,000 on June 10 for the exhibition, and the regional tour of the William Kentridge: I Am Not Me, The Horse Is Not Mine installation.

"Regional art galleries are already making significant contributions to the cultural life of their communities and having the opportunity to host these remarkable exhibitions will help play a key role in the revitalisation of their local economies," Mr Toole said.
The 2023 finalists from the Wynne Prize will be the first to be exhibited across regional NSW.
There are two finalists in this year's Wynne Prize from the Highlands, with their works currently displayed in the Art Gallery of NSW.
Bowral artist Danie Mellor has addressed conversations about First Nations people in his piece The acquired Arcadia, and Clara Adolphs' Christmas cloud depicts the artist's interest in clouds and using photos as inspiration.
Both of these artworks can be seen at the Art Gallery of NSW until August 28.
