Police arrived on scene after 3pm after reports of crash involving two cars at the Kangaroo River crossing south of the Cloonty Road and Jamberoo Mountain Road intersection.
No one was injured and an ambulance was not required however traffic remains slow in both directions, including up to four kilometres east of the site.
Drivers are advised to be patient and plan ahead.
