Bowral's Kevin Stafford and Stephen Della had a great run in the Zone 5 pairs but were defeated by Kane Shorter and Sam Dukes from Wallacia, 18-14 in the final.
The Bowral side of Stafford and Della were on equal terms right through the match and with three ends to go they were holding four shots when the opposing skipper drew shot. This turned out to be the turning point in the match.
The state finals will be at South Tamworth Bowling Club on June 3-7.
