The death cap mushroom, or Amanita phalloides, is a deadly fungus often found growing near established oak trees.
Their caps are yellow-ish green to olive-brown and they have distinctive white gills and a white stem.Death caps can appear at any time of year but are more common after warm, wet weather.
Poisoning by Death Caps can be lethal.
If you suspect you have eaten some go to hospital immediately. If possible, take a sample of the mushroom with you.
