Members and parents gathered to mark a successful season for the club which saw swimmers perform well both in-club and at carnivals across NSW.
The winner of the overall point score award for the 2021-2022 season was Minna Bowen who has consistently attended club nights all year and improved on her personal best times in all strokes.
She had also competed for the club in various interclub carnivals within the region. The runner-up was Minna's brother Dominic Bowen who also made a continual effort throughout the season.
In third place was Victoria Cappachi. Victoria is progressing quickly through the learn-to-swim levels with Bluefit and her abilities and confidence show clearly every time that she gets into the water.
The encouragement award went to Mason Evans and Noah Roodenrys. Both boys have participated in all of the events this season and always put in a solid effort. Lydia Glover took home the Terry Troy Most Improved Award. Her strokes, skills, confidence and times have improved dramatically throughout the season.
The Senior Leadership award went to Amelia Gentles who is an amazing example to the younger swimmers both in the pool and out of it. A special congratulations went to the swimmers who broke the thirty second mark for 50m freestyle this summer. They were Ashley McNeilage, Jessica Wray, Ari Knowles and Luka Troy.
The Age Champions for the annual club championships were also awarded and the trophies for the divisional point score were presented.
For the very first time Moss Vale Swimming Club will continue with six weeks of 'Winter Race Nights' during term two which will possibly be repeated in term three.
The next summer season begins on the first Friday of term four in 2022. If you would like any further information, you can contact mossvaleswim@gmail.com.
