With 30 days and 100s of ways to enjoy pies, the Southern Highlands will host a series of mouth watering pie themed events, tours and activities throughout the month of June.
The Southern Highlands will again be renamed The Southern Pielands for the month of June, and this year we're taking you back to where it all began, The Pie Trail.
Take a trip through the towns and village to see what the Southern Highlands has to offer with a pie tasting journey on the Pie Trail.
This month-long celebration of Australia's most iconic food is the perfect opportunity for domestic holidaymakers to come to the NSW Southern Pielands and rediscover one of the country's greatest tourism destinations conveniently located just under two hours from Sydney.
Wingecarribbee Shire Council general manager Lisa Miscamble said after the success of previous years, it was exciting to be back in 2022.
"With domestic tourism back on the table, we're encouraging everyone to come to our region and rediscover their favourite pie makers and bakers. We have lots of activities and activations stuffed into a 30-day celebration of the great Australian pie," she said.
"We're looking forward to being able to guide visitors around our glorious region, along The Pie Trail as we see holiday makers here more than ever this year, they'll get to visit local bakers, makers and artisan creators who make the most mouth-watering pies in the land."
As well as many returning favourites such as Pies and Pinot and Pies On A Plate offerings Pie Time 2022 will see visitors being able to explore the Southern Highlands and all its towns and villages, simply by following the expanded Pie Trail from June 1-30 this year.
Pie Time 2022 runs for the entire month of June. For more information on Pie Time visit www.pietime.com.au, follow on Facebook for updates and information on events.
