The Wingecarribee Shire Council and Wollondilly Shire Council have partnered with the National Recovery and Resilience Agency to host the expo on May 3 and 4.
Attendees will be informed about natural disaster risks and what they can do to make their families, friends and pets safer in an emergency and after something has occurred.
Members of the community will also be empowered about where to find reliable information, and how to look after others, the environment and local wildlife.
The expo will take place at Mittagong RSL from 9am to 6.30pm on May 3 and 9am to 4pm on May 4.
