You might have spotted the former Canyonleigh resident in an apron as one of the waitstaff on First Dates Australia.
The 21-year-old helps ease peoples' nerves as they have dinner, and find out if they share a connection.
She had a chat with the Southern Highland News about her time on the show in Sydney, and what it is like to have a "front row seat" and watch people looking for love.
How did become involved in the show?
I was at work, I am hostess at a bar. I was approached by two women and asked if I was interested in doing a show for Warner Brothers. I have never been asked before and said yes, had a call, went for an audition and kind of fell into it.
What is your role as a member of the waitstaff?
We go over and introduce ourselves, it's important to make them feel comfortable and relaxed. It's important to make them laugh, smile and acknowledge that they must be nervous....You make them feel calm, know what their type is and what they're after. You can tell if someone is open-minded and relaxed or if they have restricted thoughts.
What is your favourite part about being on the show?
My favourite part is seeing people who you wouldn't expect to find love, or have it later in life and overcome adversities who deserve that beautiful, special love, and see them happy. That look in their eyes is a blessing. I have a party on the couch when I watch at home, I am stoked for them.
What is it like watching yourself back?
It's quite strange, I don't take pictures of myself. My entire family has watched it, my grandfather is my number one fan and has told his GP and has told his church. It's awesome to have a little fanbase of my grandparents, aunties, and uncles. People I did not tell said they didn't know if it was me, and saw me making big hand gestures and thought 'that's you', or saw me twirling my hair which is a nervous thing I do.
Have you ever been on a blind date before?
I have not. It's quite a courageous thing to do, when it plays out, it can be incredible. You don't know what walks through the door, it can be magical.
What advice do you have for people who might be going on a blind date?
I would say, as much as it is a cliché, just be yourself. People can see through you if you're being something you're not - if you're arrogant, or trying to be funny. You've got to have a lot of faith and trust in the people who are thinking of you.
You can watch First Dates Australia on Channel 10 every Thursday at 7.30pm, or on 10 Play.
