The muddy grounds, rain and cloudy skies did not stop foodies and families enjoying the Southern Highlands Food and Wine Festival over the weekend.

Attendees clapped their hands, tapped their feet and bopped along to live music, ate tasty dishes from small businesses and sampled products from growers, distillers and winemakers at the Moss Vale Showground.
Those who purchased VIP tickets sat in a tent and learned from famous chefs and local growers about eating and living sustainably, and dishes they can add to their recipe books.
This was part of the Olsson's Salt Sessions which included producers like the award-winning Pecora Dairy, Maugers Meats, Osborn House and Berrima Vault House.
Producers and businesses from the Highlands, South Coast, Canberra and Sydney had the opportunity to recommend and present their products in stalls around the grounds.
Joadja Distillery co-founder Elisa Jimenez said there was a great turnout at the event on February 26 and 27.
"Yesterday (Febaruary 26) was fabulous," she said.
"We are loving the atmosphere and having live music."
The co-founder said the distillery's gin which was gifted to Queen Elizabeth II for her Platinum Jubilee, was the "biggest seller".
Rahul Patel from Bendooley Estate said that the event was good "given the weather".
He said that their desert wines and spice wines were in high demand over the weekend.
Award-winning Kieltys Irish Sauces owner Padraic Kielty said the smoked sauces went well.
He has been involved with the festival for eight years and said this year's was the most expensive.
It was not just a place for foodies to showcase their products - author of Stalin's Wine Cellar John Baker also spoke about his book on February 27.
There was certainly something for everyone.
