Ewe beauty: Robertson cheese is up for the Annual President's Medal
An award-winning cheese from Robertson could soon be crowned with one of the Royal Agricultural Society's most prestigious medals. Pecora Dairy's Yarrawa cheese could be bestowed with the annual President's Medal, which would be the fifth award given to the product. The country's first raw milk cheese was one of six producers nominated from over 4000 entries, that competed in last year's Sydney Royal fine food, wine and dairy competitions.
Tony Wheeler marks 150 volunteer flights with Angel Flight
Tony Wheeler did not realise that his flight with Angel Flight on Friday, February 18 was a milestone for him and his patient. The experienced pilot has flown planes for over 40 years. The Bowral resident has been helping others by flying across regional NSW and parts of Victoria. The trip meant his 16-year-old passenger marked her 100th flight.

Lauren Friend made history at the Tina Macpherson Cup by scoring the first ever century. The Hilltop captain has only played 11 games so far, and was not initially aware of the milestone she achieved. That was not her only victory- she also made 52 the week prior.
'My life is so good': Mittagong Paralympian Sam Tait ready for Beijing 2022
Sam Tait cannot wait to represent Australia and the Highlands next month in Beijing. The Paralympian who also competed in Pyongchang in 2018, will compete in Alpine Skiing. Tait has his eyes set on a medal, and is eager to get out into the snow.

New 5km Bowral run Creek to Peak to raise funds for three charities
Highlanders can support charities for domestic violence, cancer patients and mental health with the first Creak to Peak charity run next month. Participants run five kilometres through Bowral up Mount Gibraltar and back down through the Cherry Tree Walk. Founder Tim McLean said he was hopeful it could be a yearly tradition.
Meet Melting Pot Theatre Bundanoon's convenor Ted Ayers
Perhaps you have seen Melting Pot Theatre's newest convenor on the small screen as an extra in Home and Away, A Place to Call Home, Rake or performing the Allniters' 1980s hit Montego Bay. He can also be spotted in ads for Stop It or Cop It, Tourism Tasmania or Seniors Insurance, and has worked across advertising, copyrighting and creative industries. Although he gas worn many hats over the years, Ted Ayers is determined to bring people together through the Melting Pot Theatre, and said that there were many plans for 2022.
Love is in the air for this blossoming Bowral business on Valentine's Day
One business in the region felt the love and made sure to spread romance this Valentine's Day. Family members and employees at Blooms of Bowral were busy stripping roses, ensuring bouquets look their best and getting flowers ready for the official day of love. Four delivery drivers were also on the road non-stop.
