PCYC activities
- PCYC Southern Highlands
Have a look at all the activities for children aged between five and 12 this week:
- January 25: cricket, gymnastics, circus, Australia Day craft
- January 27: Free G, back to school craft, renewal energy craft
- January 28: create your own team sport, gymnastics, building block
- January 31: gymnastics, dance, multi-sport, fan making
It is $40 per day, and children should bring their own water, hat, morning tea and lunch.

Screening of Ghostbusters Afterlife
- January 25, Empire Cinema, 4-6.10pm
Children aged between 12 and 18 can watch a free screening of Ghostbusters Afterlife, with popcorn and a drink. Qualified youth workers will supervise.
The event is a collaboration between Highlands Youth Services and the WSC.

Waratahs v Brumbies Super Rugby Trial Match
- January 29, Bowral Rugby Club, 5.30pm
The Bowral Rugby Club is kicking off their 50th anniversary year by hosting a trial game between two big teams.
There will also be a country versus city ladies pre-game at 3pm, and some activities and games for kids and junior players.
There will be an onsite canteen and bar.

Rita B performs at the Eden Brewery
- January 28, Eden Brewery, 8-10pm
Rita B will be performing her original alternative-folk music this Friday.
Tickets are $10 each and can be purchased here.
Railway Street Farmers Market
- January 27, Corners of Railway Street and Spring Street, Moss Vale, 3-6pm
Grab some seasonal produce harvested by local growers this week. Highlanders also have the opportunity to meet the growers at the market.

Ngununggula Nights
- January 28, Ngununggula, 6-9pm
Enjoy live music, cocktails, late-night art viewing and food by Hearth by Moonacres this week! This will be a weekly event and Harrison Gram will perform this Friday.
Tickets for adults are $15 each, $12 for concession holders and $35 for a family. Tickets can be purchased here.
Mittagong Markets
- January 29, 9am-1pm, Uniting Church Grounds, Mittagong
Mittagong Markets will be back this weekend. Head down to grab fresh produce, homemade products, special treats for pets and much more.
Crop Swap Robertson
- January 29, Robertson CTC, 9-10.30 am
Highlanders have the chance to grab fresh and seasonal fruits, vegetables and eggs this week. A table is set up for people to put their produce, and swap with others. Attendees must adhere to social distancing and wear a mask. Magazines, plants and flowers are also welcome.
Art exhibition: At Home and Away
- Until January 29, CTC Robertson Thursday - Friday 10am-4pm and Saturday 10am-1pm
Trish and Catriona are local artists who are showcasing their artistic styles in this exhibition. The artworks explore a variety of subject matters.
Family Fun Day
- January 30, Moss Vale Showground, 9am-3pm
Highlanders can enjoy a market full of rides, live music, show bags, as well as street foods, fresh produce and goods from over 100 stalls. The market is organised by HiViZ markets.
Summer Members Exhibition
- Until February 6, Bowral Art Gallery, daily from 10am-4pm
Discover a collection of artworks by members of the gallery. There will be a variety of mediums and subject matters on display.
Attendees must keep their distance and adhere to COVID safety regulations.
Exhibition: The Gesture of Narrative
- Until February 6, Sturt
This exhibition is a celebration of strength, storytelling and imagination through a series of sculptures, drawings, textiles and prints. It will feature artworks from Andrew Antoniou, Veronica Cay, Victoria Pitel, Amanda Shelsher, Jane Theau, Vince Vozzo and Slavica Zikovic.
Exhibition: x pollination
- Until February 7, Retford Park, Fridays to Mondays from 10am-4pm
Come and discover a collection of paintings, photos, prints and sculptures by a group of artists known as the Artists of the Round Yard. Fifteen local artists have come together to show the beauty of cross pollination throughout nature and society.
The exhibition is free and located in the White Cottage on the premises.
Exhibition: The Dingo Project
- Until March 6, Ngununggula
The Dingo Project highlights the talents of artists such as Danie Mellor, Karla Dickens, Blak Douglas, Lin Onus, Garth Lena, Michael Cook and Fiona Foley.
The project has been curated by Aboriginal curator and writer Djon Mundine OAM FAHA, and pays tribute to Mittagong and the many dingoes that lived in the area long ago.
Exhibitions at the SHAC
- Until February 14, the SHAC, Friday to Monday 10am-4pm
There are three exhibitions on display in Robertson. Discover how Highlands artist Tilly Myers brings Australian flora to life in Playing Beatie Botanicals. NIDA graduate and lover of the performing arts Julie Haseler Reilly has a variety of sculptures on display in Loco Rococo. Artist Poss Keech also has an eclectic range of drawings and paintings in her second solo show Transformations.
Art lovers can also purchase artworks from the showcases online.
