According to NSW RFS community safety officer inspector David Stimson, the property owner called Triple Zero on Saturday night at 8.44pm, and two crews from Wingello RFS were at the scene at 8.58pm.
Mr Stimson said the "roof on the house had been blown off" and SES Goulburn argyle cluster commander Robert Bell said a tree blocked the entry to the home.
The Bundanoon RFS, Tallong RFS and Goulbun SES Unit also helped clear the area.
"The storm came through incredibly severe," Mr Stimson said.
The Highland Way was also closed whilst trees were cut and removed from the road.
Mr Bell said that a tree blocked the driveway to the home, and "the crew had to chainsaw their way in".
He also said power lines were down, and the unit was there for about three and a half hours.
"We did whatever we could,' he said.
Ms Stimson said the occupants were uninjured.
The Goulburn SES Unit returned to the property on the Sunday and resumed clearing the area, and assessing the damage.
"During the daylight hours, it is a lot safer to work through than the night time," Mr Bell said.
Mr Stimson and Mr Bell said the property was the only site they were called to on the night.
The NSW NSW RFS community safety officer inspector thanked other units for their help and hard work on the night.
