Prior to that the Wednesday comp was keenly contested in all grades, the battle to win A-Grade went to David Edwards over Paul Maslen.

Perhaps the most exciting win was in D-Grade with Austin Collings breaking through for his first competition win.

The only other competition was Monday, with a field of 52 starters. Roger Dowding lead the field home with an impressive 41 points.
