PCYC activities
- PCYC Southern Highlands
Have a look at all the activities for children aged between five and 12 this week:
- January 10: little ninjas, mixed sports, plant a tree day
- January 11: paint attack, Free G, team sports
- January 12: keyring making, little ninjas, create your own sport day
- January 13: amazing athletics, gymnastics, building blocks
- January 14: tennis, Free G, hat creation day
It is $40 per day, and children should bring their own water, hat, morning tea and lunch.

Towradgi Beach Pools Trip
- January 12, 8.30am-4pm
A Highlands Youth Services bus trip down the coast for 12 to 17 year olds for a wellbeing day at Towradgi Beach Pools and flagged swimming area. There will be a free lunch and beach sports. Summer Fun Day with Totem Collective
- January 24, 10am-2.30pm, Bowral Skate Park, Ascot Road, Bowral
Looking to improve your skateboarding skills? Join Totem Skateboarding for a free workshop. There'll be a BBQ, a stilt walker and live music. More info and bookings here. COVID safe measure in place.
Movie releases
- From January 13, Empire Cinema
Highlanders have the opportunity to watch two new movies this week. The beloved canine Clifford comes to life in Clifford the Big Red Dog, and the historical comedy Delicious finally hits cinemas.

Ash Grunwald
- January 14, Bowral Bowling Club, 6-11pm
Singer and songwriter Ash Grunwald is set to charm music lovers this week in Bowral. The blues musician is going to release his eleventh studio album Shout into the Noise on March 11.

Exhibition: Playing Beatie Botanicals
- January 14-February 14, The SHAC
Discover a world of Australian natives in this colourful exhibition in Robertson. Artist Tilly Myers combines traditional and contemporary techniques in this showcase.
Hill Top Pop-up movie night
- January 15, 8-10pm, Hill Top Public School
Bring the family along for the screening of Space Jam - A New Legacy being held at Hill Top Public School oval. Entry via the community centre car park. This family event is strictly no drugs or alcohol. Admission is by tickets only, which can be obtained via Eventbrite. This event is proudly supported by Highlands Youth Services and funded through Regional Youth - Summer Holiday Break Program.
Mittagong Markets
- January 15, 9am-1pm, Uniting Church Grounds, Mittagong
Mittagong Markets will be back this weekend. Head down to grab fresh produce, homemade products, special treats for pets and much more.
Exhibition: The Dingo Project
- Until March 6, Ngununggula
The Dingo Project highlights the talents of artists such as Danie Mellor, Karla Dickens, Blak Douglas, Lin Onus, Garth Lena, Michael Cook and Fiona Foley.
The project has been curated by Aboriginal curator and writer Djon Mundine OAM FAHA, and pays tribute to Mittagong and the many dingoes that lived in the area long ago.
Exhibition: The Gesture of Narrative
- Until February 6, Sturt
This exhibition is a celebration of strength, storytelling and imagination through a series of sculptures, drawings, textiles and prints. It will feature artworks from Andrew Antoniou, Veronica Cay, Victoria Pitel, Amanda Shelsher, Jane Theau, Vince Vozzo and Slavica Zikovic.
Art exhibition: At Home and Away
- Until January 29, CTC Robertson Thursday - Friday 10am-4pm and Saturday 10am-1pm
Trish and Catriona are local artists will be showcasing their unique artistic styles in this exhibition. The artworks explore a variety of subject matters.
Exhibition: x pollination
- Until February 7, Retford Park, Fridays to Mondays from 10am-4pm
Come and discover a collection of artworks such as paintings, photos, prints and sculptures by a group of artists known as the Artists of the Round Yard. Fifteen local artists have come together to show the beauty of cross pollination throughout nature and society.
The exhibition is free and located in the White Cottage on the premises.
Attendees also have the opportunity to discover all of the gardens and sculptures at the property in Bowral.
