No, Bob's not a nanny - he's a five year-old ex-racehorse kept by Lyndsey Dolan and Richard Cribb at their Robertson thoroughbred stud, Morning View, and he's become a popular face around town.
"He's just a superstar horse, and he's become part of our family," Lyndsey said.
"There's not many ex-racehorses you'd trust around your children, but Bob's very gentle and calm."
Bob likes to get out and about. When the family lived closer to town, he regularly picked the couple's children up from Robertson Public School, he rounds up cattle on the farm, and last November made an appearance at Burrawang Pub on Melbourne Cup Day.
Then, last Sunday, he set off with 10 year-old Liliana Cribb to compete at the NSW ACT Thoroughbred Spring Fair at Hawkesbury Showground, taking the place of Liliana's pony, who had just foaled.
To the family's surprise, Bob and Liliana (who is too young for the ridden classes) took first place in the Fashions in the Field event, a category that allowed competitors up to the age of 21, with many of the horses coming from top thoroughbred studs.
"It was a big thrill for them to come in first," Lyndsey said.
"Liliana was stoked.
"They'd done a lot of training in the lead up - she had to lead him around, present him to judges and make him stand square."
Liliana, who was surprised to find her dress for the event in her Santa stocking at Christmas, was nervous before the event.
"There were lots of bigger kids, so I felt happy when I won," she said.
"Bob is really gentle and sweet, and I like going down in my quad bike to feed him."
Bob, who previously went by the name Oligopolize, was bred by Lauriston Thoroughbred Stud in Tasmania.
His next big gig will be with Lyndsey at the Canberra Royal's thoroughbred ring.
Until then, he'll keep an eye on the younger animals at Morning View Stud and hang out with his family.
"Bob is a gentle giant and takes care of all the babies," Lyndsey said.
"He has a cheeky side too - when no one is watching, he'll stick his head inside the back door and steal apples from the fruit bowl."
