Summer Reading club
- January 1-31, Wingecarribee Libraries
Young readers between the ages of five and 16 have the chance to win a $200 gift voucher this summer.
Once you have registered, you can visit the library to pick up a summer reading pack full of goodies. There is a reading log, puzzles and novelty items inside. For every hour you read, you will receive a bonus ticket in the major prize draw.
All reading logs need to be handed in before 5pm, on February 18 to be eligible for the major prize draw.
All participants who hand in a reading log will receive a participation certificate.

PCYC
There is lots going on at PCYC in January. From bootcamp, craft, gymnastics, circus tricks and more, there is something for all children between the age of five and 12.
Activities for each day are outlined below:
- January 4: gymnastics, multi-sport, pasta and spaghetti craft
- January 5: Free G, ball sports, bird house making
- January 6: circus tricks, dance, bootcamp fun, puzzle construction
- January 7: mini Olympics, gymnastics, tulip making
- January 10: little ninjas, mixed sports, plant a tree day
- January 11: paint attack, Free G, team sports
- January 12: keyring making, little ninjas, create your own sport day
- January 13: amazing athletics, gymnastics, building blocks
- January 14: tennis, Free G, hat creation day
- January 17: make your own team sport, gymnastics, inventor day
- January 18: amazing athletics, little ninjas, paint attack
- January 19: cricket, hockey, little ninjas, dinosaur excavation
- January 20: dance, circus, weave craft, building blocks
- January 21: gymnastics, ball sports, tallest pyramid challenge
- January 24: bootcamp fun, Free G, library bag making
- January 25: cricket, gymnastics, circus, Australia Day craft
- January 27: Free G, back to school craft, renewal energy craft
- January 28: create your own team sport, gymnastics, building block
- January 31: gymnastics, multi-sport, fan making
It is $40 per day, and children should bring their own water, hat, morning tea and lunch.

Movie releases
- Empire Cinema
Three epic movies are coming to Bowral in January. Start the year off with some laughs with Gohstbusters: Afterlife on January 2. There is also The Addams Family 2 coming on January 6 and Clifford the Big Red Dog on January 13.
Session times will be available closer to the date and will be displayed on the cinema's website.
