How Dot went from a cycling rookie to second best in the world
Dorothy Robinson has cycled her way to second in the world at the Road Worlds for Seniors. Competing as part of Harbison's Slow Speed Demons, Dot cycled 1380.5km to finish second on the international women's leaderboard. Dot, who is an amputee and uses the arm-powered bike, said it took a while for her achievement to sink in.

100 per cent Home-Grown concert puts Southern Highlands and Tablelands talent in the spotlight
The inaugural 100% Home-Grown concert, an initiative of community radio station Highland FM 107.1, some of the region's most outstanding homegrown talent at the Bowral Bowling Club. It was a celebration of local talent motivated by a desire to show support to local performers that had struggled to do what they do best - entertain - through COVID restrictions.
Bowral becomes a Christmas wonderland as the community unites for the Festival of Lights
The spirit of Christmas was certainly in the air as the community came together to see Bowral sparkle with the commencement of the Festival of Lights. Highlanders of all ages gathered at the Corbett Plaza on December 7 in the afternoon for the lighting of the Christmas tree, speeches, performances, face painting and balloon creations. The festival was inspired by the Christmas light displays in Europe and the desire for the local community to unite during the festive season.
Cherry Tree Hill pinot reconised as one of Australia's best cool climate wines
Located between the Illawarra and Old Hume Highway exits, Cherry Tree has been operating in the Southern Highlands for the past two decades. That innings finally paid off in November when five of their pinot noirs took home medals at the Australian Highlands Wine Show. Most notably, the 2019 Hayden Reserve was awarded Top Gold alongside the four other pinots whilst their riesling, sparking and sauvignon blanc took out Bronze in their respective categories.
