Writer and multidisciplinary artist Jessica Raschke is holding free workshops titled Deep Encounters: Writing for Insight and Transformation on December 5 and 12.
Attendees will learn how to journal, write poetry and letters to their past and future selves.
"It's about coming along and being curious in writing, it's an interesting way to learn more about yourself," she said.
"Looking down [at the] avenue of self-expression, writing is easy and accessible."
Ms Raschke wants to give people the opportunity to engage more with themselves and give them opportunities to do so free of judgement.
She said a writing background was not essential in order to participate, its focus was to show the benefits of self-expression through words and journalling for well-being.

"Hopefully [it will] encourage a regular practice for people and growing confident in writing," she said.
Ms Raschke is studying counselling and psychotherapy, and wanted to combine her love of writing and educational background in order to give everyone a chance to learn more about themselves.
"I think it's that spaciousness of a space to go a bit quiet, still and deep inside themselves, even if it's in a confected experience like a workshop environment," she said.
"It feels important for me to open up those kinds of spaces."

They both take place from 10am to 3pm.
