FOWAS 'thrilled' after shelter fast tracked to 2022
Friends of Wingecarribee Animal Shelter [FOWAS] have welcomed Wingecarribee Shire Council's decision to fast track the new Shelter. Interim Administrator Viv May announced last week that funding for the combined Shelter and Moss Vale SES facility would be brought forward to the 2022/23 financial year.

Three wineries in the Highlands won gold at this year's Australian Highlands Wine Show this week. The awards recognise wines that have been produced with grapes grown 500 metres above sea level. Eighty-eight awards were given out on the night, and 41 of them went to winemakers in the Highlands.
'It will be a first': Harbison residents set to make history at the Bowral Classic
Residents at Harbison will be taking part in the Bowral Classic's Social Classic ride next week via trishaws. Two trishaws will hold residents in the front, and pilots at the back. The modes of transport are part of the international Cycling Without Age initiative, which aims to connect elderly residents through cycling.
Highlands FC set for 'exciting' new era in NSW Association Youth League
The Highlands FC has been accepted into the NSW Association Youth League, which means local footballers will have the chance to play against the best. The Highlands Soccer Association will enter the boys competition next year across the Under 13, 14, 15 and 16 age groups.

Father Chris Riley's Op Shop in Bowral has been supporting members of the community doing it tough and providing quality items at affordable prices for over 10 years. Over 35 dedicated volunteers help run the shop, and profits are used to fund services to help youth, families and locals doing it tough, to provide opportunities for a positive future.
