A total of 126 wines across Australia that used grapes that have been grown 500 metres above sea level were judged in Berrima on November 1 and 2.
Thirty-three wineries from the Southern Highlands, Orange, Mudgee, Tumbarumba, Hilltops, New England, Canberra and Adelaide Hills entered in this year's competition.
Judges blindly tasted all of the wines and compared their notes to award wines gold, silver and bronze medals.
"It is an excellent show letting wines express themselves," judge Toni Paterson MW (Masters of Wine) Paterson said.
