More than $8900 was spent on Code of Conduct complaints between September 2020 and August 2021 in Wingecarribee Shire Council despite being placed under an interim administration.

In the 12 month period up to August 31, seven Code of Conduct complaints were made.
Wingecarribee Shire councillors were suspended in March 2021 and the council was under an interim administration. A public inquiry was called in September 2021.
According to the Model Code of Conduct Complaint Statistics report, all seven complaints were finalised.
Of the seven complaints:
- Two were finalised at the outset by alternative means by the general manager or mayor.
- Two complaints were referred to a conduct reviewer. Two complaints were finalised at the preliminary assessment by the conduct reviewer. Zero action was taken.
- Two complaints were referred by the general manager or mayor to another body or agency such as ICAC, the NSW Ombudsman, the Office of Local Government or the police.
In the 2019/2020 period, Wingecarribee Shire Council spent more than $80,000 on 12 Code of Conduct complaints and ranked eighth across the state for the most amount of complaints.
