Residents across the Southern Highlands gathered on the eleventh hour on the eleventh day of the eleventh month to commemorate the servicemen and women who have served and fought in wars across the globe.

Several Remembrance Day services were held across the region, including Berrima, Mittagong , Moss Vale, Bowral, Exeter and Bundanoon.

"To me, it's remembering all the friends and all of the past and serving persons," said Moss Vale RSL sub-Branch President Bob McLaren.
"It's to honour those who have served," said the Vice President of the Moss Vale RSL sub-Branch Chris Tutin.
The Bundanoon RSL sub branch was led by president Robert Williams, who thanked everyone who attended.
"It is important that we never forget," he said.
Mr Williams was joined by several pupils from Bundanoon Public School who read 'In Flanders Fields' and raised the flag.
