A total of 126 wines, which have been made with grapes sourced from above 500 metres in altitude, will be judged on November 1 and 2 at the Loch in Berrima.
One wine will be awarded Australia's Best Wine With Altitude.
The Southern Highlands Food and Wine Association (SHFWA) will host the event, which is the only wine awards in Australia that focus exclusively on high-country, cool climate wine styles.
'Now, more than ever, we need to recognise and celebrate regional producers who consistently achieve a quality product, even in extreme conditions," says SHFWA Industry Liaison Officer and show collaborator, Katrina Hill-Cooper of Far Ago Hill Wines.
