From coming first in NSW's Top Tourism Town Award for a small town with in May, Berrima has won Australia's Small Tourism Town Award.
Port Fairy in Victoria was given a silver medal and Tasmania's town Stanley won bronze.
"Our tourism industry has faced enormous challenges over the past 18 months, but the awards have provided a welcome reminder to us all of how resilient, strong and inspiring the tourism community is," said Australian Tourism Awards Chair, Daniel Gschwind.

"As we get closer to all interstate borders re-opening and enjoy a renewed focus on domestic tourism, these awards put the spotlight on our tourism communities and the amazing experiences that can be had throughout Australia."
The town competed with others across the country with less than 5000 residents.
There was also another double-win for NSW in the country's Top Tourism Town Award for towns exceeding a population of 5000 people.
Mudgee placed first in this category after the town won the NSW Top Tourism Town Award.
Noosa came second in the national competition followed by New Norfolk in Tasmania.
"All of our finalists can be extremely proud to represent their state or territory in this national competition," Mr continued.
"The submissions showed what a truly diverse country we live in, with inspiring experiences throughout. Congratulations to the winners and all finalists."
