The coffee table book Photo Voice: Renewal and Resilience contains 140 photos from professional and amateur photographers who captured the bushfires around the region.

The book is a joint project between the Southern Highlands Foundation (SHF) and the Wingecarribee Shire Council Social Recovery Sub Committee.

The book is being launched at the Southern Highlands Botanical Gardens on October 31 at 11:30am.

"It is about bringing people together," said SHF community liaison and administrative officer Bridget Cosyn.

"It is a legacy we can't forget and so many people are impacted.

"It helps the community realise even though the fires were two years ago, people are still struggling."

"There is a lot of suffering and people triggered out there, that don't feel like they have been supported, not because they haven't, but because of COVID."

Some of the photographs featured in last year's Arts Trail which was well received by the community.

Funds from the books are going to be distributed to people who are struggling and support their wellbeing.

Bookings for the launch must be made by October 28 at 12pm and can be made here.
