The Phoenix Bookstore comes back to the Southern Highlands thanks to the support of many
The Phoenix Bookstore has opened the doors to its new store this week. The original shop was destroyed with others on Wingecarribee Street and Bong Bong Street in a fire on July 1. The Highlands community rallied around the second-hand store and donated thousands of items like books, DVDs, CDs and vinyl records.

The Hill Top Northern Villages Cricket Club will have the highest amount of teams playing cricket this upcoming season. The club has grown from two to five teams, which includes a women's team.

Musicians and performers in the region have been given the green light to return to local venues to bring joy to many Highlanders. Bowral Bowling Club general manager Tony Dunn said it was great bring live entertainment back to the club, and provide Highlanders with some joy locally.
Southern Highlands students were awarded top accolades in the Charleston International Music Competition
Jess Howell and Mandy Vega Carrera have done the Highlands and Australia proud in the Charleston International Music Competition. The HSC students have been performing throughout the Highlands in local productions, restaurants and events. Their passions for singing and storytelling have been recognised in the Contemporary Music Competition, where they placed first and second.
Highlands Theatre Group to bring The Appleton Ladies Potato Race to Robertson Potato Festival
The Highlands Theatre Group will bring the play The Appleton Ladies' Potato Race to life for Robertson's Potato Festival next year. The play was inspired by the Robertson Show's potato race and was written by ABC broadcaster, playwright, storyteller and author Melanie Tait.
